            Colorado-based Professional Chef’s Association
Announces New Food & Kitchen Expo
*****************************************************************************
New expo for foodie's and chefs to feature the best of Colorado
food, beverages, kitchen gadgets, and more,
at the Colorado Convention Center in 2010;
Call for Exhibitors now available

      FORT COLLINS, Colorado, July XX, 2009 – The Professional Chef’s Association (PCA) (www.ProfessionalChef.com) today announced that it will host the first annual Denver Food & Kitchen Expo from October 8-10, 2010 at the Colorado Convention Center.  This expo will feature all things related to food, kitchens, and cooking in one convenient, central location (the Colorado Convention Center), and at a strategic time of year when people are eager for summer and the preparation and enjoyment of fresh, locally produced foods and food items.
There will be a strong emphasis on Colorado fare, including:
·         Fresh and prepared food items, and beverages;
·         Kitchen equipment, gadgets, and supplies;
      Food Competitions Ice Carving, Cold Food and Pastry
·         Kitchen and outdoor living designers and products; and
·         A Chef’s Table (cook book signings, career advice about becoming a chef, informational questions and answers about food preparation)…and more!

The expo also will essentially serve as a giant, indoor farmer’s market to celebrate the coming 2010 growing season, according to PCA President & Founder Chef Walter Neuhold.

“The Denver Food & Kitchen Expo will be a feast for the senses for those who cook and appreciate good food and local ingredients,” said Chef Neuhold.  “Expo visitors will be able to talk directly with producers of everything from grass fed beef and  fresh gluten-free pastas to salsas, and other fresh-made items.  A wide range of helpful kitchen gadgets and kitchen products will be shown, and local and out-of-town chefs will be provide cooking tips and demos, and advice on careers in the culinary arts,” he said.

Colorado Proud A Theme of This Expo
      This expo also will feature an emphasis on “Colorado Proud” and will feature many items produced within Colorado.  “We have such wonderful array of foods and beverages produced here in Colorado – and this expo will be a central source for expo visitors to see what’s available and produced right here in Colorado,” said Chef Neuhold.  An added benefit is that when Colorado residents buy Colorado products, it helps the local economy and is more eco-friendly because locally produced food has not been transported long distances, thus minimizing fuel usage, according to Neuhold.

Call for Exhibitors Underway
The Call for Exhibitors for this 2010 Expo is now underway; additional information about the Expo and exhibiting rates is available at: www.ProfessionalChef.com.  “Exhibit rates are very reasonable, and we will be offering a strong level of marketing support to boost attendance and help exhibitors succeed,” added Neuhold.
